Price Book

Save your flat-rate services and your materials with markup

← All topics
1
Open your price book
Open the More menu and tap Price Book (on the web app, it's in the left sidebar). It has two tabs: Services, the jobs you charge a set price for, and Materials, the parts you buy.
2
Add your services
On the Services tab, tap + (Add Service on the web app). Enter the Name (for example, "Install GFCI receptacle"), your Price, what it's priced Per (usually each), and an optional Description. The description is what the client sees under the line, one item per line, such as "Includes device and cover plate".
3
Start from common services
Below your services is a list of Common services, like service calls, receptacles, switches, fixtures, ceiling fans, smoke detectors, dedicated circuits, EV charger circuits and panel replacements. Tap one, set your price, and it's saved to your price book. They come without prices because rates vary so much by area.
4
Add your materials with markup
On the Materials tab, tap +. Enter the Name, Category, your Unit Cost and Unit Type (each, ft, box, roll, pack, pair, set, lb, or gallon), and your Markup %. The form shows what the client pays, for example a $0.62/ft wire at 30% markup is billed at $0.81/ft.
Materials you saved before the price book keep a 0% markup until you edit them.
5
Add items to estimates and invoices
On an estimate or invoice, tap Add from price book. Pick a service or material, set the quantity, and tap Add. Services go on at their set price with their description; materials go on at your cost plus markup. Use Add custom service or Add custom material for something new, with Save to price book ticked to keep it.
6
Save a line you typed
When you type a line with Add line item, tick Save to price book as a service before you save it. Next time it's one tap away in the price book.
7
Better AI estimates
AI Estimate Assist uses your price book. When the work matches one of your services (for example, three GFCI receptacles and your "Install GFCI receptacle" service), it's quoted at your price, and its labor and standard parts (box, device, plate, breaker) are left out so they aren't charged twice. Wire, fixtures and equipment are still listed for you to keep or untick. Parts are priced from your saved material costs first.
Keep your material costs updated when supplier prices change. Your markup is applied on top automatically.
