Connect Stripe
Tap your profile picture (or open More → Business Profile) and scroll to the Payment Methods card. Tap Connect Stripe Account and follow the short onboarding to verify your business and link your bank account. If you started setup and didn't finish, the button reads Complete Stripe Setup. Once you're connected it shows Stripe Connected ✓ and a link to your Stripe dashboard.
Stripe verification usually takes just a few minutes — have your business details and bank account or debit card handy.

Get paid online
Clients can pay by card or bank transfer (ACH) from the link on their invoice. Funds go directly to your Stripe account — EPX never holds your money. Stripe charges its standard 2.9% + $0.30 per card payment and 0.8% (capped at $5) per bank transfer; EPX adds no fee. To have clients cover the processing fee, turn on Pass card processing fee to client in the Payment Methods card (it appears once Stripe is connected). Clients then pay the card fee or the bank transfer fee on top of the invoice, and you receive the full amount. Receipts and the invoice PDF show the fee line when a client paid it.

Take a card in person with Tap to Pay (Android)
In the Android app, your phone can be the card reader. Open a Pending or Partial invoice and tap Tap to Pay next to Record payment. The amount starts at the balance due; enter less for a partial payment. Tap Charge, then have your client hold their card, phone, or watch against your phone. The payment is recorded on the invoice, and the client gets an emailed receipt if the invoice has their email. It needs Stripe connected and isn't available on the web app or on iPhone yet. The first time, the app asks for location access.
Stripe charges 2.7% + 15¢ per Tap to Pay payment. If Pass card processing fee to client is on, the sheet shows the fee and what the client pays before the tap. The passed-on fee is capped at 3% of the amount.
4
Other ways to get paid
Under Other ways to get paid in the Payment Methods card, add the other methods you accept — like Venmo, Zelle, or check — so clients see them on your invoices.
5
Record cash and check payments
Open an invoice and tap Record payment to log cash, check, or other payments. Partial payments are supported — see the Invoices guide.
6
Connect QuickBooks Online
Open Settings, go to Integrations, tap QuickBooks Online, then tap Connect QuickBooks and sign in with your Intuit account. Nothing is sent automatically — you choose what to sync.
7
Sync invoices to QuickBooks
Open any invoice and tap Sync to QuickBooks in the invoice preview (Sync on your phone). Or open a job and tap Sync to QuickBooks in its Financial section to sync the job's linked invoices and expenses together. Recorded payments carry over with the invoice, so QuickBooks stays accurate.
8
Sync expenses to QuickBooks
On the Expenses screen, tap the Sync to QuickBooks button to send your unsynced expenses. Expenses attached to a job also sync when you sync that job.
